Rockwell Hardness Tester
Measures the hardness of metals from the depth of an indentation.
Overview
A diamond cone or hardened ball indenter is pressed into the sample under a minor load, then a major load is applied and removed. The hardness is read from the remaining depth of penetration on the Rockwell scale.
