Salt Spray Test Chamber
Exposes samples to a salt fog to compare their corrosion resistance.
Overview
The salt spray test chamber is used to evaluate the corrosion resistance of metallic materials and protective surface coatings under controlled salt-fog exposure conditions. Test specimens are placed inside the chamber and exposed to a salt solution mist for a specified duration. The resulting corrosion is assessed according to the applicable test method and acceptance criteria.
Applications
- Evaluating the corrosion resistance of coated and plated components
- Comparing the performance of protective surface treatments
- Assessing corrosion behaviour of metals and alloys
- Supporting quality control of corrosion-protection processes
